Cream cheese frosting is tangy and delicious.

You could use it in desserts like cheesecake, apple cake, chocolate cake – any kind of cake that takes your fancy. Probably one of the most popular desserts that is topped with cream cheese frosting is carrot cake.

How To Make Cream Cheese Frosting

The basic ingredients of cream cheese frosting are butter, vanilla and cream cheese.

Simply blend, with a hand mixer, six ounces of soft cream cheese, a half of cup of butter and one teaspoon of vanilla. Continue to blend the ingredients together until the mixture takes on a light and airy texture.

To this mixture add two cups of powdered sugar.

As you continue to blend the mixture together mix in an additional 4 ½ cups of powdered sugar. The mixing process should continue until the cream cheese frosting can be easily used as a frosting spread.

Once the cream cheese frosting has been created it needs to be refrigerated. It should keep for six days if refrigerated.
